All of the programs and services at Danielle’s place would not be possible without the generous support and partnerships from people like you. Your donation will be used in direct support of the programs described above and help save lives in your community. Danielle’s Place has several strong community partnerships including local hospital treatment programs, other eating disorder support centres in Ontario and the Centre for Student Development at McMaster University. The centre is currently operating without Government funding. As a result it is wholly dependent on the generosity of our community and donations from foundations to ensure that all individuals whose lives are affected by eating disorders have access to support, regardless of their cultural background or economic status.
  • Our total fundraising goal is a modest $100,000.00 for 2013
  • As a registered Canadian Charity, donations may be eligible for a charitable tax receipt reducing the out-of-pocket gift by the corresponding value of the tax credit.

Thank You

Danielle’s Place wishes to thank the 42 very special ladies who bravely came out to the “Love the Skin Your In” Fundraiser, held at the Dundas Community Pool on Sunday, December 20th.

In total $1508.00 was raised that will be used to purchase materials for cost free programs in support of those struggling with disordered eating.

We’re very grateful to the organizers and look forward to a second event scheduled for Sunday, February 7th.
Ontario Trillium Foundation

Danielle’s Place is pleased to share that our centre has received funding from the Ontario Trillium Foundation. It will be utilized to purchase equipment and make renovations to the centre in support of our new anxiety reduction programs.

Quilt Display - Eating Disorder Awareness Week

The quilt event on January 20th was a great success!

The quilt that was created is now on Display for Eating Disorder Awareness Week. The young ladies are practicum students, Kaitlin, Stacey and Melissa from left to right.

Thanks to the excellent presentation created by students at Acton High School!

Danielle’s Place was the recipient of a $5,000.00 Donation from the Toskan-Casale Foundation”. Money will be used towards program materials for the Youth Program and new books for our reference library.

Congratulations to Sydney and Roxanne for a job well done!
Thank You - Rock What You Got
On Sunday Nov 9th a group of incredible people held a Rockin’ 3rd party event in support of Danielle’s Place at the Rockpile in Scarborough. We would like to graciously thank everyone who contributed their time and skills and those who attended to support. Body Rock successfully raised over $1,700.00 towards cost free programs and services for those whose lives have been affected by eating disorders at Danielle’s Place.

Thanks For Making Hope Blooms Another Success
Thanks to all who came out and made our June 1st fundraising event “Hope Blooms for Danielle’s Place” such a wonderful day!

Our guests were treated to a delicious buffet luncheon expertly prepared and presented by Shirley Johnson’s team who do the catering for the Royal Botanical Gardens. Guests were welcomed by the sweet sounds of “Strings Of Fire” and Connie Smith was an entertaining master of ceremonies who kept the pace of the day running smoothly. After lunch, the excellent original compositions by the band “Braided Vain” were complimented by some popular songs featuring guest vocalist Pat Pece”. We sincerely hope that everyone had a wonderful afternoon, while raising money towards essential programs and services for those whose lives are impacted by eating disorders.
